Community Safety:
Safer roads means safer families.

Our city will almost double in size over the next decade, we need our partnership with the Douglas County Sheriff's Department to scale up with our growth. More speeding enforcement, even faster responses to our (rare) crime events like the recent burglary attempt, and better leveraging the existing Community Safety Volunteer program for Castle Pines.
Increased Law Enforcement Presence
Our proximity to I-25 is our greatest strength and greatest weakness, when I-25 has a problem... Castle Pines has a problem. We need to create a first of its kind partnership with Lone Tree, Castle Rock, the State Patrol, and Colorado Department of Transportation to fix the structural problems and culture of reckless driving that are rampant south of the Denver Tech Center.
Innovative Partnership for I-25 Headaches
Let's be honest, walking along Castle Pines Parkway feels more like a highway on-ramp than the main road of a charming small town. We can fix that with minimal cost and smart design. It shouldn't take 15 minutes to get out of town but we should also feel like our children and seniors can cross the road in peace.
Walkability & Small Town Charm
We need to do more to plan and advertise opportunities for Castle Pines to work together and build connections. The City Council can work with South Metro Fire to host more CPR & First Aid, Babysitter Training, and other safety classes. Our neighbors should feel like we are here for each other and ready to help our community.
